This hybrid micro-grid integrates Li-ion batteries to store energy from a photovoltaic solar plant which, just like in Corn Island’s case, serves as the main energy source. The solar PV plant has a DC nominal current of 297.36 kWp (300.45 kWp in flash report) and an AC nominal alternating power of 280 kW.
The solar PV system has been distributed in 7 inverter DC/AC converters with a nominal power of 40 kW, in a fixed structure and with an inclination angle of 15º at an azimuth of 0º (towards the south) – each solar inverter governs a series of solar modules. All the power generated by the solar system is redirected to the control and distribution center before being consumed by end-users.
