Corn Island

 A hybrid micro-grid consisting of the following components:

  • 2.10 MWp of solar power
  • 2.00 MWh of energy storage (Li-ion)
  • Control and distribution center
  • 2500 kVA step-up transformer from 400 V to 13.80 kV
  • AC distribution line, medium voltage at 13.80 kV


The system will generate energy by means of a solar power plant with a rated DC power of 2102,760 kWp and a rated AC power of 2000 kW.

The photovoltaic system has been distributed in 20 inverter DC/AC converters with a nominal power of 100 kW, in a fixed structure and with an inclination angle of 10º and an azimuth of 0º (towards the south). In addition, each solar inverter consists of a series of solar modules arranged in series and in parallel.

The inverters have been grouped into three groups that will conduct all the power generated by the solar system to the control and distribution center.
