Brus Laguna

The hybrid thermal-photovoltaic system with storage consists of the following electrical infrastructures:

  • Renewable electrical generation through a photovoltaic solar plant of 400.4 kWp.
  • Storage system with lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 1.68 MWh and a power rating of 750 kW.
  • Control and distribution center.
  • 750 kVA step-up transformer from 400 V to 13.8 kV.
  • Medium-voltage evacuation line at 13.8 kV.

The photovoltaic solar system consists of 4 string-type DC/AC inverters with a nominal power of 100 kW each. These inverters are mounted on a fixed structure designed to withstand winds of up to 250 km/h, with an inclination angle of 15 degrees and south orientation.

The storage system is a compact type enclosed in a container, which includes a bidirectional converter inverter, racks of iron-phosphate lithium-ion batteries branded as Narada, an air conditioning system, and a fire extinguishing system. The installation also incorporates a thermal generation system using two prime diesel generators branded as Himoinsa with a total power of 402.1 kW.

The core of the system lies in the control and management system of the microgrid, which automatically and in real-time manages each of the microgrid components to ensure a reliable power supply while minimizing energy costs and maximizing renewable generation.
